Aesthetic Neuromodulators

Botox & Dysport

Neuromodulators are currently the most popular non-invasive cosmetic procedures performed, favored for their effectiveness and minimal downtime.

Neuromodulators, including well-known brands like Dysport and Botox, operate by blocking nerve signals responsible for muscle contractions. This mechanism leads to a temporary relaxation of the treated muscles, resulting in a smooth, refreshed, and youthful appearance.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Botox and how is it different from Dysport?

Botox® and Dysport are both neuromodulators designed to treat and prevent fine lines and wrinkles. These treatments reduce muscle activity, preventing the formation of new fine lines and wrinkles while smoothing out existing ones. The only difference lies in the brand. Dysport is quite similar to Botox®, offering equivalent results and longevity.

Are there side effects with Botox or Dysport?

When administered by our highly trained medical professionals, Botox® and Dysport treatments are safe and virtually pain-free. While some patients may experience temporary redness, bruising is rare. Most clients describe the treatment as quick and comfortable, with no lingering side effects.

How long will it take to see results after my Botox of Dysport treatment?

The beauty of Anti-Wrinkle treatments like Botox® and Dysport® lies in their visible, natural results. Most clients notice muscle tightening and wrinkle reduction within a week, with full results appearing after two weeks.

How long do Botox or Dysport results last?

Botox® and Dysport results are not permanent, typically lasting 3-4 months. To maintain a youthful appearance and prevent new fine lines and wrinkles, regular treatments are recommended.

Is there any downtime after treatment?

While rare, some patients may experience swelling or bruising after treatment. To ensure the best results and allow time for potential bruising to subside, we recommend planning your Botox® or Dysport treatment at least two weeks before special events or vacations.

How many units will I need?

The amount of units needed varies from patient to patient depending on the area to be treated, your facial anatomy, muscle strength etc. You will be able to discuss this with the doctor during your consultation.

Do neuromodulators hurt?

No Most patients are relieved to discover their experience was far better than they imagined! You may feel a slight sting with the injection but the actual procedure is very quick, and rest assured, we have many ways to help lessen your discomfort during your visit.

Can I get Botox or other neuromodulator treatments during pregnancy?

At our clinic, we do not perform Botox or similar neuromodulator injections during pregnancy. While there is no conclusive evidence of harm, there is also insufficient safety data from clinical trials. As a precaution and in alignment with medical guidelines, we recommend postponing treatment until after pregnancy.

When can I resume Botox and other treatments postpartum?

Once you are no longer pregnant, we can safely resume or begin aesthetic treatments following a medical consultation. Every client is different, so we tailor your care plan based on your health status and goals.

Can I have Botox or Dysport while breastfeeding?

There is limited research on the safety of Botox and other injectables during breastfeeding, and product manufacturers advise against use out of caution. While the risk of absorption into breast milk is considered very low, we recommend consulting with one of our healthcare professionals before proceeding with treatments.
